Alcohol: Often overlooked because it is not a prescription drug, alcohol functions as a CNS depressant. Even moderate consumption can intensify pregabalin's sedative effects substantially. Patients should be candid with their care team about alcohol use — not because of moral judgment, but because it genuinely affects medication performance and safety.

Over-the-Counter Risks Patients Frequently Underestimate
